I’ve got a new website and I am promoting it the same normal way I always do which works.. eventually. I’m just curious what SEO tips (your best please) you have that I may not be aware of to get a website ranked high in the SERPs?

Submit interesting content to social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Delicious.
Facebook fanpages can be useful too.

Also, those third party Facebook “like” sites where you can create a phrase/status that people like. These are not attached to your personal profile but are utterly independent. If you create a compelling phrase, quote, mantra, sentence, question etc, you can usually add a URL at the end. This will not be an anchored link, which means people will have to copy the URL into their browser. But these things can blow up and go big time viral.

The point of all this is that traffic is increased, helping to boost your PageRank, and contributing to organic traffic.
