The following points will help you create the best videos for your SEO purposes.
1) Client Logo:
The logo helps to identify to whom the video belongs to at a glance and also helps the viewer to attribute the logo to the company. The logo must be fixed in the bottom right part of the entire video. The logo should be small enough so that it does not affect the contents of the video. At the same time, it should be big enough to be legible.
2) Video Format:
Most video sites support WMV format. There are sites that accept other formats like MPEG, but are less in number. Sometimes, you may have to remove the sites that do not accept the video format you created or convert your video into other formats you want to submit in.
3) Contact Details:
The contact details part of the video acts as an action item for the viewer. It helps the prospect to gain more information on the company and also a way to contact the company. It should have the name of the company, website address, phone number and physical address. You can have the contact details at the start and the end of the video.
4) Credits:
If you are a SEO company creating videos for your clients, then it would be advisable to have your details run at the very end of the video. It should not be for more than 5 seconds. Your company name and website address alone should do.
5) Heading and Points:
It is not advisable to have a paragraph as a video’s content. The reader will be disinterested in it soon enough. So, you have to make sure to add only important points involved in the content of the information you want to pass to the prospect. The best method would be to have a heading that gives an idea of the forthcoming points. It should be followed by a maximum of four points. Remember that it is not the videos alone that matter but also the content. Hence make the content interesting, informative and usable for the viewer.
6) Run Time:
The run time depends on the type of content you want to create a video of. The recommended time for a SEO video would be 2 – 3 minutes. Increasing the time directly affects the size of the video. This might slow down the upload time and hence increase the time taken for the SEO activity. Most video submission sites have a restriction on the size of the file too.
7) Background and Contrast:
The background should be of a pleasing appearance. It does not matter if you use bright or dark colors. Make sure that there is ample contrast between the text and the background so that it is not difficult for the prospect to read it.
Music or Audio:
It is recommended to have an audio of a person reading the points. It gives a personal touch and also makes it easier for the viewer to read the points. It is better to use a person to record the audio than to use software to create the audio. If this is not possible, you can use music in the video.
