I have been reading at forums and networks that the use of SEO tools and automation of SEO is an evil for SEO. At times even i feel that certain things done manually give far more better results than done automatically. Articles written and submitted manually are more genuine and unique. The moment you start using tools for writing your articles uniqueness dies. Even with this statement I say tools are important for SEO you must have the right kind of tools that help save time. There are tools that help you to post an article in 50 different ways and on 50 different blogs but you write it yourself. Automation is good but it should not eat up your creativity.

It is being said that manual labor is good but if you spend more time is creativity and in planning your link building campaign then your work would be smarter. There are SEO tools that help you to post your article on all on various blogs from one place. This SEO tool does not cripple the quality of SEO but it helps you and saves your time.

Why do I use SEO tools?

To speed up the SEO process

Machines are better and faster at collecting and processing information than we do, so at times it is better that we allow machines to do a few things. I always use a backlink checker to check backlinks for my web site or my competitor’s web site. If I start exploring backlinks without a tool on internet then for sure I would mess up my work. Suppose I have to open each page and check it rank on Google tool bar and backlinks of Yahoo then i would never be able to complete any task on time. With a good tool to work with I would get all my required information within seconds without opening pages after pages.

With the help of effective tools a lot of time and energy is saved. This time can be utilized in comparing and analyzing data. Tools that help in research are not evils, they are your helpful friends who give you inputs and save your time.

Organized information

With the help of SEO tools we are able to gather data easily and in an organized manner. We basically get the data from one place and don’t keep clicking here and there to gather data. when you gather data in an unorganized manner then you may tend to miss out important information or you may even mix up vital information. Mistakes in manual collection and integration of data can lead to misleading figures also.

New Ideas

I keep trying new tools. Whenever there are new tools I try to make use of them for fact finding. It is not only interesting but also provides newer and better ideas. A new tool usually offers a new way to look at the analysis.

Top 10 SEO Tips That Will Get Your Site Ranked Higher in Google

Many internet marketers will claim that their internet tips will guarantee you the “holy grail” of internet marketing which is the top spot on Google.  Realistically, no one knows Google’s secret algorithm and the people who “guarantee” a top spot on Google are selling you a scam.  The secret to SEO is simply beating the other guys.  Like the old saying goes… “You don’t have to run faster than the bear, you just have to run faster than the guy next to you”.  This is the secret to that top spot ranking.  You must simply have a better SEO optimized site than your competitors.  

With that in mind, we have put together a “Top 10″ list of SEO tips that we KNOW work.  We know they work because we have tried them our self, and we have seen them work for our customers who have tried them.  Do these, and we guarantee your site will move up the rankings. 

1.  Content is King.  Or in the words of John Reese, “Content is better than King, Content is Kong!”  Think of your website like internet real estate.  The more internet real estate you own, the more important you are to the search engines.  If you notice how many pages, and how much content “The Biggies” (i.e. Amazon, eBay, Microsoft, Wikipedia, etc.) have it’s incredible.  They have hundreds of thousands (and possibly even millions) of pages on their sites.  So you need to generate fresh new content regularly.  This is the MOST IMPORTANT factor of SEO.  

2.  Bold Your Keywords.  Make a few of your keywords Bold on your pages.  You can do this by using the

<b> </b>tags around your keywords.  Now this can be easily over done, but pick a couple keywords that you are trying to optimize and make them Bold.  This will notify the search engines that these words are important on your page and give you a couple extra points for those keywords.  Just be careful not to overdo it.  

3.  Articles.  Articles are an excellent way to build content on your site.  What makes articles even more valuable is the fact that you can not only publish them on your site, you can submit them to article directories who will publish them on their sites with a link back to your site.  This will provide you with quality backlinks that will last for years!  We are happy to help you with this if you don’t want to do this yourself, just visit our website. 

4.  Deep Links.  Google is getting much smarter about links.  Sheer quantity will not help you any longer.  Even link exchanges are starting to get discounted.  However, quality links are still counted heavily.  You need to have links coming into as many pages within your site as possible.  This tells the search engines that you have relevant content all over your site, and that you are not using an automated link exchange.  If all of your inbound links are to the same page, the search engines think you have a shallow site that has only one page relevant to the topic or keyword.  

5.  Image Links are a Problem.  If you feel you must use image links, make sure you have text links that appear first in your coding.  The search spiders will follow the first link they come across, and all signs show they will not follow an image link.  Now, we must inform you that no one knows the behaviors of search spiders exactly, and the behaviors of search spiders are always changing.  But, our research has proved that search spiders will not follow additional links to the same page. 

6.  Have Multiple Domains. If you can, have a separate domain name for each topic/keyword.  Search engines take into consideration the URL of a website when they are ranking for keywords.  For example, if you create two identical sites about golf equipment, and you are trying to optimize for the keyword phrase: Nike Golf Balls.  Which URL do you think Google will rank higher:  GolfStuff.com/products/nikegolfballs.html, or NikeGolfBalls.com?  In this case NikeGolfBalls.com would get priority.  

7.  Participate in Article Exchanges.  Article exchanges are like link exchanges on steroids!  Article exchanges are a great way to build quality content on your site as well as get your content out on other sites.  An example of an article exchange would be if you published someone else’s article on your site with a link back to their site; in turn, they will publish one of your articles with a link back to your site.  This is especially effective if you have a specialized product.  Let’s use our Nike golf ball example.  You publish an article from a site that gives tips and tricks on improving your golf game and provide a link to their site.  In turn, they publish your article on Nike golf balls with a link back to your site.  If done right, this is a win win situation.  The other site gets some of your traffic from people who are interested in tips and tricks, and you get some of their traffic from people who are interested in Nike golf balls.  

8.  Mix Up Your Inbound Links.  You do not want all of your inbound links looking exactly the same.  If all your links look the same they will be discounted by the search engines because it looks like automation.  It is best to mix it up, especially utilizing keywords.  Typically webmasters will use their page’s title as the link text, and this is OK, but not all the time.  Use the name of the company or keywords.  If you use the keywords this will give you extra points with the search engines when it comes to your page’s relevancy for that keyword.    

9.  Linkbait.  By far the best way to get incoming links is through Linkbait.   Linkbait is having content that others find valuable and link to it.  This relates back to content and is by far the best way to get quality natural links.  If you write a killer article or blog post, people will link to it without any additional effort from you, and the search engines will  pick up on this. 

10.  Include a Sitemap.  This is one of the simplest tips that many webmasters ignore.  Keeping an up-to-date sitemap makes your site much easier for the search engines to index.  Many SEO experts claim that simply having a sitemap yields a few extra points from the search engines.  Whether that is true or not, making your site more pleasing to the search robots and spiders is always a good thing.  If you do not know how to make a sitemap, you can perform a Google search for XML-Sitemaps and find one that will generate one for you for free!

When deciding on website promotion, you essentially have the choice between two major options.  Pay per click, or PPC, and search engine optimization, or SEO, are both widely used and, when used correctly, could drive a great deal of traffic to your company’s website.  There are several differences between the two, and these differences may help you to decide which is the right choice for your marketing needs.

For your knowledge, pay per click can increase your website traffic more quickly than search engine optimization in most situations.  You will only pay for your advertising each time your ad is clicked.  With search engine optimization articles, you are offering more than an advertisement to your customers.  The articles also tend to have greater longevity for increased traffic to your website, though the results may take longer to see.  Whichever method you choose, you should be aware that there is a great deal of competition out there.  The Global Markets Research division of Deutsche Bank reports that online advertising will likely grow to more than twenty-eight billion dollars in 2011 in the United States alone.

Pay per click advertising is only an advertisement.  There is not usually anything of substance to the ad, besides the fact that a click will take visitors directly to your website.  Many Internet users may not even recognize them as ads, which means you will lose those potential customers.  Others may click on the ads without any intention of buying or without realizing they have clicked an advertisement.  You will pay for those clicks even without achieving a sale.  Those that see your ads may not fully understand the arrangements for PPC ads, but they will understand enough to know that they are ads and not necessarily the best answer to their search.

When you consider search engine optimization articles, you have a viable chance of getting your website in the top ten search results when potential customers search keywords associated with your services.  Search engines use algorithms to determine how relevant each site is to a given phrase or keyword.  You must have good content and programming skills to get the top spots in the rankings, but you get serious credibility when you do.  With PPC, you get top listing, but you must pay for it.

If you choose article marketing, you will be offering something of substance to your potential customers.  Search engines can make a great deal of money off of PPC ads, but the main source of income for them is to point searchers to the sites that best match the search terms that were entered.  If your site shows up in the top ten listings, then the search engine is telling your visitors that your site is among the top ten sites in their index with content on the search subject.  This lends a great deal of credibility to your company.  Keep in mind that people seeking serious information on a particular subject are less likely to click on ads and more likely to visit your articles.  Your articles, however, could really impact the choices of those who are seriously seeking information, goods, or services.

Pay per click ads do have their advantages.  People who are in a rush to find something in particular are more likely to click on the ads than to search through Internet content.  You are likely to get greater results in a timelier manner, too.  You just need to decide which method casts the best light upon your company and will bring you the most business in the long run.

Article Marketing Advantages

The firm iProspect has completed a study that suggests a full thirty-six percent of users consider the top ten listings returned in a search to be the best possible information available.  A similar study was completed in 2002, and the results have greatly increased since.  Searchers don’t always find what they want in the first search, but they will likely look on other search engines for the same information.  Search engine optimization often displays the same information, and this gives a great advantage to those who use SEO marketing.  This same study shows that sixty-two percent of users will click on the first page of results.  You might be out of luck if your website doesn’t show up until a later page.  If your website is after page three, it’s even more likely that you’re out of luck.  Ninety percent of searchers abandon their search after three pages of search results.

Popularity of PPC

There are many attractive features to the pay per click model, with the greatest of these being how quickly you will see results.  The moment your PPC ad goes up, you will start funneling more traffic to your website.  As long as you keep up the payments for your ads and keep showing up ahead of your competition, you will see a significant rise in your page views.  The problem is that a PPC campaign does not really offer anything of substance.  You can enjoy the increase in traffic, but you are not really giving your potential customers a reason to return for business at a later date.  The more people click on your site, too, the more you will pay for your advertising.

The type of search engine that you use for your PPC campaigns can directly affect your return on investment. Studies with Qudos Digital, an Internet marketing firm, show that Google will likely bring you the most traffic, while Bing and Yahoo are more likely to bring you a return on investment.  If you want an effective campaign, you should have campaigns with each of these search engine sites.

Longevity of Your Campaign

A pay per click advertising campaign is likely to be short-lived.  They can cost a great deal of money over the long term, so many people find there is not enough traffic to justify the expense.  A PPC campaign offers a lot of traffic over the short term, and this can be helpful for a short time.  If you are not receiving return visitors, you can see how it might be harmful in the long run.

Users that click on a PPC ad either click on an ad through a search engine instead of clicking on the search results they really wanted.  The second type of user might believe that he or she is clicking on search engine results when instead they are clicking on an ad.  Either way, the visitor will not receive the information that he or she was seeking.

If you use article marketing, your article could get your site listed among the top ten results in a search.  Your articles will also give your customers something of value, which is very unlike a PPC campaign.  You also will not need to renew your payments for your articles each month.  Once you have published your articles to the Internet, they are searchable for the entire lifetime of your company.  You could entirely forget that it exists, but it will still be out there, driving customers to your website.  If you have taken the time to provide excellent content, then your customers will get something much more valuable than a simple advertisement.

You can sum up the advantages of SEO article marketing with a few statements.  Article marketing provides useful information to your potential customers, as well as generating SEO content.  You can control the image of your company’s projects with well-written article content.  You require no additional technological resources to use article driven marketing.  Article marketing will also not require continuing payments for your company to reap the rewards.

Concerns Regarding ROI

When you are paying money for a marketing campaign, your biggest concern will likely be the potential return on your investment.  You can see the the ROI for a pay per click campaign can vary widely, depending on where you intend to run your campaign.

Blogger Jeff Majcher says that a formula to compare the differences between the returns for an SEO and a PPC campaign is complex.  A campaign based on SEO articles can make a significant difference.  A PPC program loses its value the moment you stop payment.  If you want to continue getting the benefit of your pay per click campaign, you will need to continue paying for each visit to your site.  When you use articles for marketing, you continue to reap the benefits long after the articles have been posted.  You can continue a steady stream of article marketing or you can take several months off, but the work that has already been posted will drive traffic to your website indefinitely.  You may not see results immediately as you would with PPC campaigns, but technology blogger Charles Linart maintains that SEO marketing provides a much better return on investment.

Pay per click ads do have their value.  You can count on a PPC campaign to really boost your traffic in a short amount of time.  You can also use the effectiveness of your search terms to research the nature of your visitors.  Over the long term, however, you will probably find that the organic results that article marketing provide are a better choice for your marketing dollars.
